Bergen Center for Competition Law and Economics (BECCLE) is pleased to announce the ninth annual BECCLE conference on competition policy on June 5-6 2025 in Bergen, Norway.

In 2025 the conference will take place at the Faculty of Law at the University of Bergen. The conference combines keynote speakers and sessions with invited speakers, and in addition open sessions with presentations and discussions of original research papers in the fields of competition law and competition economics.

The keynote speakers in the 2025 BECCLE Conference are:

• Professor Herbert Hovenkamp at Univ. of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and the Wharton School
• Professor Fiona Scott Morton at Yale School of Management

Information about the invited sessions will be posted here in due course.

For the open sessions, we will invite submissions of original research papers. This invitation will be sent out in December, with a deadline February 1. Papers should be in the field of competition law and economics. We welcome both theoretical and empirical papers, as well as case studies. Lawyers are especially encouraged to submit papers (working papers or published papers) or extended abstracts.
