Temporary position as researcher at the Faculty of Law

At the Faculty of Law, University of Bergen, there is a vacant position as a researcher connected to the research project «Towards more stability, competitiveness and predictability in the financial sector»

The researcher position is financed by the Faculty of Law, and the researcher will be a member of the Faculty’s Research Group for Competition and Market Law, and associated with Bergen Center For Competition Law and Economics (BECCCLE).

The position is part of the project «Towards more stability, competitiveness and predictability in the financial sector», and aims to answer the question of how State aid rules can contribute to rebuilding the financial sector and make it more robust. In this way the project is expected to contribute to the on-going discussion on the financial sector answers in this regard, and thus contribute to an on-going discussion on the financial sector. The project will analyse how State aid rules should be applied in the financial sector to safeguard its efficiency, competitiveness and equal terms and conditions for all market operators.

The research fellow will write an article that raises issues related to the project as it is described above. The said article is to be published in a renowned journal and the applicants are expected to propose its topic. The research fellow will also participate in activities within the project, that is participate in a conference in September 2018, and present her/his findings during a concluding workshop in 2020.

The leader of the project is Associate Professor Ronny Gjendemsjø. The Post.doc.-project will be carried out by Malgorzata Agnieszka Cyndecka, PhD. While the Post.doc.-project is financed by Finansmarkedsfondet, the Faculty of Law will finance a research fellow that is linked to the said project.
